But I have realized that people sorta kinda hate poor people. Or people who have their life fucked in some way. Like divorced people, or sick people, or people who took bad decisions in some ways like losing all money on gambling
It's not "hate" per se, but some emotion that's not compassion or pity. Almost like "could never be me"
I grew up in a very protected shielded environment and whenever I saw someone who had fucked up in some way, I'd always think it was their fault
"Why are you in a toxic relationship?" "Why did you take that job?" "Why do you depend on your parents for money?"
Could never be me.
Until one day it was me. And I realized I am the "other people".
