I saw an ex-colleague's LinkedIN profile. We used to work together. I always thought I was smarter than them. They would be schmoozing with the CEO over a game of table tennis while I'd be grinding away at code, too awkward to do small talk with CEO. Surely it wasn't going to matter since my skills would show for themselves

Every action has an equal an opposite reaction. In life, sometimes that reaction happens a decade later and you forget that for a moment. You feel like you can keep fucking around because you are invincible
